2025

During the lockdown months, I gained an increased interest to make art with available materials, including items I retrieved from my recycle bin. These explorations led to new abstract work exploring compartments of color using found paper products. The range of materials collected include fragments of protest posters from Capitol Hill Seattle telephone poles, and tree bark. The weathered posters I’ve found on phone poles depict a type of resilience, holding on despite challenging circumstances. The paper may have endured rainy days, or intense heat (unusually bright sun or even scorched by flames.)
